SHOPPING FOR A NEW CAR? MAKE SAFETY PART OF YOUR DECISION.

Most people consider price, fuel economy and reliability as key factors when purchasing a new or used car.  Thanks to the internet, the shopping process has become much more convenient  to find the vehicle of your choice.  With car dealerships offering their own websites anyone with internet access can find more information then was thought possible just 10 years ago.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has made researching safety very easy with their website, http://www.iihs.org/ratings/.  Whether your purchasing for yourself, your spouse or your children, you should be aware of the safety issues of the car that you are considering.

We all know that different vehicles have different costs associated when it comes to repairs and insurance so if your not sure, then check with us, McKeighan Insurance Agency, about the impact on your rates and ask your mechanic about expected repair costs.

Please remind yourself during your buying process that Safety is every bit as important as price, fuel economy and reliability and understand that a car can always be replaced but life and good health cannot.
